A new program is helping thousands of working families by giving them a place to take their children when they’re scheduled for remote learning.
Learning Bridges is a free program from the city’s Department of Youth and Community development that’s geared toward providing child care and helping students learn in their virtual lessons.
It is available to any public school student and is currently available at more than 300 different locations that offer youth programs.
So far, there are 18,000 students enrolled in the program and the goal is to have 100,000 enrolled by the end of the year.
