A 51-year-old man was attacked and robbed by a group of eight people in University Heights.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. on July 26 in front of 21 West 183rd Street.

Police said an unidentified man approached the victim as he sat in his car, pulled him out of the vehicle and began punching him.

The suspect stole the man’s wallet and necklace. The victim ran from the scene.

Police said seven more individuals then entered the car and took other items - including a phone, car keys, a speaker and a child car seat.

The victim suffered injuries to his head and back but did not go to the hospital, officials said.

Police released photos of the suspects who remain at large.
