Man convicted of murder in random stabbing attack of FDNY EMS captain from Huntington

Authorities say Peter Zisopoulos will be sentenced in June.

A 37-year-old man is facing life in prison for the murder of an FDNY EMS captain from Huntington.

Peter Zisopoulos was accused of randomly stabbing 24-year FDNY veteran Alison Russo to death in Queens three years ago.

He was convicted Monday after a monthlong trial. Authorities say he will be sentenced in June.
