A Manhattan man was sentenced to 18 years in prison for sex trafficking a teen girl at a Unionport motel. Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark called 36-year-old Akeem Lee "a brutal pimp" who beat and threatened the 14-year-old girl. Clark added Lee forces the teen on dates at the 7 Days Hotel on Bruckner Boulevard, which served as a brothel. Prosecutors say Lee met the girl inside a subway station and she began engaging in prostitution for him. The sex trafficking enterprise operated from 2019 to 2022. Lee is among three pimps and three motel staffers charged.
