Police have reclassified the death of a 4-month-old Bronx boy a homicide.
According to the city's medical examiner, Christopher Rhodes sustained blunt force trauma injuries to his head and torso back in August.
It was first believed that the child's father left the baby lying on a couch pillow after feeding him, and the baby reportedly fell off the couch, striking his head on the floor in their Lyon Avenue home.
The baby was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Family members of Rhodes declined to comment on the ruling.
