A house fire broke out Friday night in Monroe on Birchwood Road just before 11 p.m.
The Monroe Volunteer Fire Department says one bedroom, which had a shut door, was heavily damaged. Adjacent rooms had smoke damage.
If the bedroom door wasn't closed, the fire's impact on the house could have been much worse, it said in a Facebook post.
The fire was put out within 90 minutes. There were no injuries.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the flames.
