A massive storm hit New York City, and officials said more than 100 reports of downed trees were filed.
Two of those trees are on the same block on City Island Avenue.
One of them broke off into a fence and just missed hitting a building. People in the neighborhood told News 12 they're now being more cautious about parking away from trees.
"It makes me feel like I probably shouldn't park next to trees, and I should definitely watch where I'm parking with this weather," said Diana Sorgini, a Bronx resident.
News 12 witnessed branches all over the ground and heavy winds, making people wonder if the damage could get worse.
News 12 spoke with someone who lives in the building the tree almost hit.
She said, "Oh my God" when seeing how close the tree hit her building.
She said luckily, everyone is OK, but it was a close call. She said she wants the mess cleaned immediately.
News 12 reached out to the Parks Department, it said the forestry crew did come and remove the downed limb.
