Police have arrested a nanny in connection to the abuse caught on video of young children in her custody in Morrisania.

Lakeysha Jackson, 24, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with four counts of assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Nest video from the children’s room captured the nanny at a home in Morrisania in May. Police say the woman used a belt to hit a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old several times. A third child also appears in the videos.

The family lawyer says Jackson knew she was being recorded.

News 12 has been told Jackson worked through the Administration for Children’s Services Homemaking Program. ACS says it takes the allegations very seriously and that the contracted provider terminated the woman from her position.
