Bronx residents marched through Haffen Park in Baychester to raise awareness about autism.
The message of the day was to "have a conversation" because "understanding what autism is will only help to support the people who live with it every day."
The program was led by Team Christian, a family in the community who advocates for autism awareness, and state Sen. Jamaal Bailey.
April represents National Autism Awareness Month.
