Mayor Bill de Blasio said Thursday that he shares New Yorkers frustrations with the lack of testing in the city.
This comes after he was confronted by Bronx residents outside of NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.
In a news conference, the mayor said he has called upon the federal government to step up and get testing to more people.
Right now, he says the tests are being used for people who are sick or showing symptoms, health care workers and first responders.
Recently released data shows the coronavirus is killing more Latinos and black people within New York City.

Preliminary numbers released by the city's Department of Health show of those who’ve died in the city from this disease have been 34% Latino and 28% black New Yorkers.
On Wednesday, the mayor sat down with three individuals who were demanding for more resources when he was outside NYC/Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in the Bronx.
He says one of the biggest concerns is undocumented individuals feeling pushed away.
The mayor says they are working on a telephone service where people will be able to call and get more information in all languages. This service line will guide people with resources and steps they should take next.
