New York is known for having ambitious climate laws, and the city's efforts to go green just got a boost on Tuesday, thanks to solar technology.
The City Parks Foundation unveiled new solar panels that will power four community gardens and three new Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles.
"Really grateful for the $130,000 grant that we got from Green Mountain Energy Sun Club that got us the solar panels for our garden spaces and helped to power some cars for City Parks Foundation staff as well," said Isa Moise, Learning Gardens HS Interns Program Manager.
