According to Zillow, living in New York City as a single person is the most expensive place in the country.
On average, singles pay almost $20,000 more for a one-bedroom compared to someone living with a partner.
That's about $13,000 more than the average cost of single living across the country.
The cheapest places to live alone are Detroit and Cleveland.
