A new law will enable New Yorkers to purchase alcoholic beverages a little bit earlier on Sundays.
Gov. Kathy Hochul approved the law that will allow liquor stores to open their doors at 10 a.m. on Sundays instead of at 12 p.m. The law also allows retailers to sell beer before 8 a.m.
The governor says this will help to modernize alcohol laws across the state.
Changes are effective immediately.
