News 12 viewer video: Raccoon seen climbing into NYCHA building in Allerton

The tenant who sent the video of the animal says she knocked on her neighbor’s apartment, but no one seemed to be home.

A raccoon climbed into a New York City Housing Authority apartment in the Allerton section of the Bronx.
A News 12 viewer sent in a video showing the animal that managed to climb up the scaffolding and into someone’s second-floor apartment in the Pelham Parkway Houses.
Tenants couldn’t believe a raccoon was inside the complex on 930 Mace Ave.

News 12 reached out to NYCHA about the racoon situation and when the scaffolding is expected to come down.
