Families of newborns treated at St. Barnabas Hospital's neonatal intensive care unit met with nurses Thursday to celebrate the good health of their children.
In some cases, the reunions came years after the patients left the hospital.
Ethan, 3, is strong and healthy now. But he nearly died after birth because of major breathing issues. He spent days in the NICU as he was nursed back to life.
The event came as part of the hospital's 150th anniversary celebration.
The NICU itself is 18 years old.
