Northwell Nurses Choir go for the win on 'America’s Got Talent' finale

The Northwell Nurses Choir, which is made up of 18 nurses, have garnered standing ovations and rave reviews while performing on the nationwide competition.

Some of Long Island’s frontline heroes are competing for the ultimate prize on "America’s Got Talent."
The Northwell Nurses Choir, which is made up of 18 nurses, have garnered standing ovations and rave reviews while performing on the nationwide competition.
Nurses from South Shore University Hospital held a watch party Tuesday for one of their colleagues competing in the finale. Click here for more information on the choir and how to vote.
Nurse Edna Biancaniello says it’s exciting watching one of her fellow nurses bring to the forefront how hard health care workers work.
“It’s surreal at this point that we’ve gotten this far into the competition,” Biancaniello says. “And I think we really stand a chance of winning at this point.”
Melanie Lopez-Humann, also of South Shore University Hospital, says no matter what the result is the group of singing nurses are already winners.
The Northwell Nurses Choir can win $1 million if they get first place in the competition.
