Residents say a residential property in Norwood has suffered from years of neglect and has not improved despite recent changes.
Roberto Perez says workers suited up in hazmat suits last week and removed mounds of trash, debris and discarded items that have accumulated on the 206th Street property over the years. There were two complaints on the city's Department of Buildings website for excessive trash and squatters.
Some of the protective gear has been left behind from the cleanup. Neighbors are now wondering how long before it is a dumping ground once again.
"It still has to be fixed," says Perez.
Perez says he believes the homeowner may have died recently.
