A New York City bishop is encouraging families, couples and individuals to practice their faith Easter Sunday in their own homes to protect themselves and others from coronavirus.
Bishop Paul Egensteiner of the Metropolitan New York Synod says this is an opportunity to become closer to your faith and become more aware of your dependence on your faith and one another.
He suggests being more attentive to ritual, like watching Easter Sunday services that will be livestreamed. Most services have been streamed the last few weeks.
Egensteiner says that for members who don't have internet access have the option to call in to the service.
He says this time can be used to build your spiritual strength.
