Democratic candidate for New York City Mayor
Andrew Yang has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Yang released a statement today, saying he is experiencing mild symptoms, but
is feeling well and in good spirits.
He says he will quarantine in accordance with public health guidelines and
follow his doctor’s advice.
The former presidential candidate also says he will continue to attend as many
virtual events as possible.
“When the time is right, I look forward to once again
hitting the campaign trail and advancing a positive vision for our city’s
future,” Yang says.
He says that his team has begun contact tracing process to notify anyone who he
may have been in close contact with.
