10h agoNew York City Department of Sanitation Commissioner Ed Grayson tells News 12 crews are working around the clock, preparing for Thursday's snowstorm.
Grayson says the department has supplies still coming in, about 200,000 tons of salt on hand and that staff has been working split shifts in preparation.
Grayson addressed the long delay on recycling pickup, and expressed thanks to citizens for their patience and understanding. He said it took all of last week for crews to catch up on recycling pickup, and they worked through Presidents Day, and now they are a half a day behind.
He added that sanitation workers have been working nonstop for 17 days since late January's snowstorm to make it all possible.
