NYPD: 16-year-old boy fatally shot in Brownsville

Police say the shooting happened on Sutter Avenue at the corner of Osborne Street just after 3 a.m.

A Brownsville family is mourning after a 16-year-old boy was fatally shot early Saturday.
Police say the shooting happened on Sutter Avenue at the corner of Osborne Street just after 3 a.m.
Officials say police responded to a 911 call.
When they arrived, they found the 16-year-old boy who had been shot in the torso.
He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the victim heard gunshots and felt pain but was unable to identify the shooter.
The victim's identity has not yet been released and police say no arrests have been made so far.
