The NYPD says several cars were damaged overnight along Neptune Avenue in Coney Island.
The NYPD tells News 12 at least nine cars were damaged, but that there doesn’t seem to be a pattern at this time. They say they plan to pay extra attention to the surrounding area.
Resident Daniel Kliger says he was alerted about the damage as he made his way into work Friday. He says he saw an NYPD patrol car at the corner and assumed cars were being ticketed but was told several cars had been damaged--including his own.
He says this is the second time in the past few years that his car was broken into near the corner of Neptune Avenue and that extra patrols would be best.
