A man police say attempted to rape a woman inside an apartment building in the Bronx has been arrested.
The NYPD Special Victims Unit credited tips from the public that led to the apprehension of Fausto Perez.
Perez, 33, is accused of grabbing a 33-year-old woman from behind and attempting to rape her in the stairwell of her building. She was able to escape.
Perez is charged with attempted rape.
