Police say a driver was killed after careening off the New England Thruway Thursday night and crashing into a home.

Police say a driver was killed after careening off the New England Thruway Thursday night and crashing into a home.
The NYPD reports a BMW came off the highway and crashed into a garage on Pelham Bay Parkway West at around 7 p.m.
The driver was allegedly speeding on the New England Thruway going southbound when the car careened off the highway near Exit 14 and hit the home below. The NYPD says the driver was killed and a 28-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was rushed to the hospital with a leg injury. She is expected to be OK.
Police say no one inside the home was hurt.
