NYPD Explorers gather to honor life of Junior Guzman-Feliz

The community gathered Monday to celebrate the life of Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz outside of the bodega where he was killed three years ago with a special tribute from fellow NYPD Explorers.

The community gathered Monday to celebrate the life of Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz outside of the bodega where he was killed three years ago with a special tribute from fellow NYPD Explorers.
He was killed at 15 years old after being mistaken for a gang member.
To honor Junior, the NYPD created the Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz Memorial College Scholarship, which gives two NYPD Explorers $5,000 each in reimbursement of tuition and school supplies.
