Surveillance video shows the car sitting on the street for 18 minutes before police showed up and found the kids in the back seat with the engine off and windows rolled up.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, kids being left in parked cars under hot temperatures is the leading cause of death among children as parents often simply forget their kids are even in the car when they hop out.
