The NYPD announced a ramped-up police presence at houses of worship across New York City following an attack in Qatar.

On Tuesday morning, Israeli forces reportedly ordered an air strike on the capital of Qatar targeting Hamas leadership.

As a response, Mayor Eric Adams, in partnership with the NYPD, is ramping up patrols at religious, cultural and diplomatic sites across NYC in an abundance of caution.

The mayor also alerted New Yorkers that there will be more officers in tunnels and bridges in an attempt to patrol major infrastructure in the boroughs.

The city said there is no imminent or credible threat.
