Police say they arrested a suspect in connection to the Manhattan boxcutter slashing assault Monday.
Anthony Evans, 30, was arrested and charged with assault and a hate crime, according to the NYPD.
Evans is accused of slashing a 59-year-old woman with a boxcutter on the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 42nd Street. He cut her hand with the knife, seemingly unprovoked, authorities say.
The victim was transported for treatment and is doing OK.
