NYPD: Suspects stole nearly $12,000 in jewelry from man near Grand Concourse

Police say both of the men pulled a knife on the victim, demanded jewelry from him and slashed him in the leg.

Police say a 28-year-old man met an unidentified man on Monday, Sept. 25, and they went back to his residence near East Burnside Avenue and Grand Concourse.
Once inside, police say the unknown man invited another man to the victim’s residence. When the second unknown man arrived, both of the men pulled a knife on the victim, demanded jewelry from him and slashed him in the leg, according to police.
They say the two unknown men then forcibly removed the victim’s necklace, bracelet and ring that is valued at $11,850. The suspects fled the scene in a black taxi and headed northbound on Grand Concourse.
The victim suffered from minor injuries. Police say he refused medical attention.
