A housing development in the borough is not only giving those struggling with homelessness a place to call their own -- it's also connecting them to services to better their lives overall.
Walton House was the latest stop for "City Hall in Your Borough" Thursday, as Department of Social Services Commissioner Steven Banks toured the supportive housing development.
The building is home to 90 studio apartments for veteran and young adult tenants who are at risk of being homeless. The space also houses resources on-site, with services like mentoring and counseling, to connect tenants with programs that can help them better their lives overall.
Walton House is run by the non-profit Jericho Project and funded by grants from city agencies.
