The NYPD says a 15-year-old boy was slashed near DeWitt Clinton High School in Bedford Park.

Police sources tell News 12 the teen is a student at the high school.

The teen was slashed once on the left side of his face at 100 West Moshulu Pkwy. South just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

The Department of Education says the violence broke out off campus.

Police say EMS took the 15-year-old to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is expected to recover.
