Person wanted for snatching 72-year-old’s purse in Mount Hope

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a person who they say stole a 72-year-old woman’s handbag last month in Mount Hope.
Authorities say the suspect approached the victim on the corner of East 179 St. and Walton Avenue on Feb. 26.
The individual took her bag and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
The woman was uninjured, according to police.
