Some local photographers are using their cameras to tell an elaborate story about one Bronx neighborhood.
Photographers Adeline Lulo and Ed Alvarez are working together on a project called “The Claremont Documentary Project” to document the issues in the Claremont Village community.
Rhynna Santos, the manager of the project, says the goal is to document is to showcase the lack of healthy food in the neighborhood and how that affects the youth.
The photos are a part of a new project directed by the Bronx Documentary Center. Twelve photographers are participating including Lulo and Alvarez
The photographs will be paired up with interviews of community members and go on display in the summer. They will also be used in a separate project funded by the city called Claremont Illuminated.
The location of the display has not been determined yet.
