Planted daffodil bulbs honor those who died on 9/11, during pandemic

New Yorkers for Parks gave out daffodil bulbs in Brooklyn Sunday in honor of the thousands of victims who died on September 11, 2001 and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The organization says it has given out over 180,000 daffodil bulbs. The event was canceled last year due to the pandemic, so New Yorkers for Parks says it doubled the usual order.
Over the last 20 years, 8 million daffodils have been planted around the city. The goal for this year is to plant 1 million daffodils alone before the weather gets too cold.
