A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged for a shooting that killed an 18-year-old man earlier in February.
Police say that 18-year-old Juan Pena was walking home from a party along Park Avenue near East Tremont Avenue when a car pulled up and opened fire. Pena was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Now, police say that they arrested a 17-year-old boy, who is now facing charges of murder in the second degree, manslaughter in the first degree and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
The suspect’s name is not being released due to him being a minor.
