Police say young kids in the Boerum Hill area got into a fight, leading to an 11- and 13-year-old being stabbed. Both victims are expected to survive.

The incident took place in the vicinity of the Gowanus Houses, and police believe the area where it unfolded was on the pathway leading to the basketball courts.

Police discovered a bloody pocketknife and a box cutter at the scene, but have not confirmed that those were the weapons used in the stabbing.

While no local residents were willing to speak on camera, one neighbor said the kids were throwing water or juice at each other before the incident broke out.
