Two people were injured in a shooting in East Tremont early Sunday morning.
Neighbors who live two blocks away tell News 12 they could hear music from a party blasting all night and into the morning. They say they wondered if police would come and break up the gathering.
Police arrived after 5:45 a.m. after News 12 is told an argument turned violent, with one person being shot in the face and the other shot in the groin.
Both were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. The person who was struck in the face was in critical condition, while the other was in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, but News 12 is told that police have a person of interest in custody who has not yet been charged.
