A man is dead after an early morning shooting in West Farms.

Police say they found the 29-year-old victim shot multiples times around 1:45 a.m.

NYPD says the victim was inside a 2019 Volkswagen and was shot three times in the back and one time in the hip.

First responders brought the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The NYPD Crime Scene Unit roped off the street between Elsemere Place and East 176th Street to gather evidence.

The 2019 Volkswagen appears to have crashed into another parked car. It's unclear if that happened before or after the victim was shot.

No arrests have been made.
