Pedestrian struck in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, driver on the run

Police say a 30-year-old man was struck in Mount Hope as they tried to stop a car on Wednesday.

The incident happened on Bush Street around 3 p.m.

Officers tried to stop the driver, which then took off and ended up hitting the man on the sidewalk.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
