Police say a 42-year-old man was slashed in his stomach and back early Monday morning inside of a Tremont bar.

According to investigators, the victim was having a drink inside of Dary's Restaurant Bar at the corner of East 180th Street and 3rd Avenue around 2:45 a.m. when another man walked up behind him and fired a gun.

They confirmed he wasn’t shot. However, they say the two men then started fighting and he was able to disarm the gunman before the attacker slashed him twice.

Police say no arrests have been made in this case. The suspect is currently at large.
