Police have made an arrest in connection with two murders that happened at the same West Farms intersection this past summer.
Police say 20-year-old Jailyn Wagner has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, including murder.
Wagner is accused of two murders happening days apart at the E. 176th Street and Mohegan Avenue.
On July 23, 28-year-old Cherif El Farissy was killed in an attempted robbery. El Farissy was heading home after work when he was fatally shot, just before 3 a.m.
Then on July 29, before 8 p.m., 39-year-old Roman Martinez was found dead in his RV with multiple gunshot wounds to his head.
One neighbor who did not want to give his name in fear for his safety, said he witnessed one murder in the summer.
"I heard the shots in my room when I was watching TV late night. The guy had the bike and then he ran. We saw him when he ran, and he dropped the bike," he said.
News 12 spoke with Martinez’ brother who did not want to show his face on camera but says he will not feel at peace until justice is served.
"It's still not justification, it's not enough. His sons cry every day. His family is in so much pain right now. The community is in so much pain," he said.
Martinez’ brother says Wagner will face a judge in the next couple of days for his charges.
