Police say a man was arrested for fatally stabbing a woman in North Bellmore.

Police said a man was arrested for fatally stabbing a woman in North Bellmore.
Authorities said the 42-year-old woman was killed in her home on South Bismark Avenue on Thursday at 11:40 p.m.
The Nassau County Homicide Squad said 37-year-old Anthony Paruolo was arrested for the stabbing and is charged with second-degree murder.
Police said he's in the hospital and was scheduled to have a bedside arraignment on Saturday. There is no word yet on the circumstances surrounding the arrest and why he’s in the hospital.
Detectives said multiple 911 calls came in about a domestic incident on the night of the stabbing. She was later found dead at the scene.
It’s not clear how the suspect and the victim knew each other but police said both lived in the same home.
A neighbor who did not want to appear on camera said the two have a son who is in elementary school and added that she feels very sad that this happened.
Neighbors in North Bellmore community where the stabbing occurred said it is a very quiet neighborhood and they feel safe. They added that they were relieved to hear that police had made an arrest.
They also said they may start a GoFundMe to help the boy who lives in the home.
