Police say a man attempted to sexually assault two young girls Thursday in a Mount Hope apartment building.
Authorities say Staccato Gee, 59, grabbed 5- and 8-year-old girls and held them at knifepoint. They say he then tried to sexually abuse one of the girls before both broke free. It happened in the vicinity of East Burnside Avenue.
Officers arrested Gee around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police have not confirmed if the man or girls live in the building where the incident happened. But neighbors say the girls, as well as the suspect's mother, live there.
Residents call Gee a neighborhood drunk who goes by the name "Stacey."
