Police say a man was slashed by his girlfriend in Melrose early Saturday morning.

It happened on Morris Avenue around 7:40 a.m. Police say the victim was cut twice on the arm.

The slashing followed an argument betwen the couple, police say.

The victim was treated by EMS and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

No arrests have been made in the case.
