NYPD: Argument led to stabbing on 2 train; 2 suspects sought

The victim, who was not named, told police officers that he was sitting in the conductor’s car when a man tripped over him. That led to an argument.

A man on the 2 train was stabbed multiple times late Friday night by two people who have not yet been apprehended, police say.
The incident happened as the train was pulling up to the Freeman Street station.
The victim, who was not named, told police officers that he was sitting in the conductor’s car when a man tripped over him. That led to an argument.
The victim told police that he was attack with a sharp object that the assailant received from a woman he was with on the train.
When the train pulled in at the station, the suspects fled. The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with slashes on his left arm and head.
Police are urging anyone with information about the suspects to call them.
