A New Haven man was arrested Friday after a carjacking in Shelton that started with a social media post.

Police say Devon Brown answered an ad about a car for sale on Facebook marketplace. They say when Brown arrived, he pulled a gun, knocked the owner to the ground and took off with the car.

Police say because the incident started with Facebook, they were able to use Brown's profile to eventually track him down.
