Police are asking for the public's help finding two people who they say attempted to rob a man in Morrisania.

They say a woman approached the victim and asked him for money. After the victim gave the woman a dollar, the woman followed him into a building.

The victim was then approached by a man, who tried to take his money and personal items. The incident escalated into a fight and the woman slashed the victim's face before the pair ran away.

Officials say the man is around 5 foot 6 and the woman is 5 foot 5.
