Police: Woman who shoved 2-year-old to the ground in Fordham charged with assault

Police say Shoshannah Johnson, 32, is facing multiple charges that include assault, acting in a manner injurious to a child and reckless endangerment.

Police say a woman faces assault charges for shoving a 2-year-old to the ground in Fordham.
Police say the girl was exiting her home on E. 198th Street with her mother when a woman suddenly came from behind and shoved her to the ground. The girl struck her head on the pavement.
Emergency personnel transported the young girl to Montefiore Medical Center, where she was said to be in stable condition.
