New Yorkers hit the airports for flights to July 4 travel destinations

The Transportation Security Administration said it was staffed and ready to screen over 18.5 million travelers at security checkpoints all throughout the country.

Today is one of the busiest travel days of the summer because of the holiday the July 4 holiday, and the amount of flyers today are at record high numbers this year.
The Transportation Security Administration said it was staffed and ready to screen over 18.5 million travelers at security checkpoints all throughout the country. AAA estimated 5.84 million travelers will fly to their destinations, a 1.4 million increase from last year's record. The main motivator for these trips is obviously the holiday, but cruises, beaches, and fireworks are the main attractions. The top three destinations this year are Orlando, Seattle, and New York City.
Travelers are advised to track your flights before you leave home to avoid any hiccups at the airport.
