P.S. 100X students bring home the Mayor Dinkins Cup

A group of elementary school students brought the Mayor Dinkins Cup back to the Bronx this weekend.

Jeff Lawrence has been the tennis coach at P.S. 100X for over a decade. He says the students on his current team are something special.

Thanks to the New York Junior Tennis & Learning after school program, students had access to practice tennis every day and compete. This past weekend they competed in the Mayor Dinkins Cup—where they came out on top.

Lawrence says this fifth and fourth graders are learning lessons larger than just tennis.
